Hantavirus Disease is a zoonosis. This infectious disease is not a new outbreak. It was first reported after the Korean War. In the 1950s. It is common among soldiers stationed near the Hantan river. The first hantavirus was isolated in 1978 in South Korea. There are rodents as the main source of nesting diseases. Hantaviruses were first classified as a specific genus called "Orthohantavirus".
It is classified as a viral RNA in the family Hantaviridae. The Andes virus (ANDV) strain, which is found mostly in South America, is the only strain of the Hanta virus that can spread from person to person. Once the Hanta virus enters the body, there is an incubation period of about 1–8 weeks. The initial symptoms are usually non-specific, similar to the flu or other respiratory diseases including acute high fever, headache, muscle pain, fatigue. However, it is observed that if you have Hanta disease, the patient will deteriorate very quickly when symptoms begin to appear. Later, there may be severe respiratory symptoms or kidney and bleeding symptoms, depending on the strain of the virus. Currently there is no specific treatment and no vaccine, therefore, the patients must receive supportive care
