This participatory action research aimed to study and develop a model for drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation with community participation, focusing on the use of community processes and mechanisms to help patients recover their physical, mental, and social conditions sustainably. The research was conducted between October 2023 and September 2024. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative data using content analysis. The results of the research found that the target group received treatment and rehabilitation, totaling
42 people. The model for drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation with community participation was as follows: 1) Organizing an integrated community to work with all sectors to screen and find patients in the community. 2) Evaluating and separating groups of users, addicts, and addicts. 3) Treating and rehabilitating patients with Matrix Program, Motivational Interviewing,
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 4) Follow-up home visits by VHV Buddy after completing treatment according to the criteria. 5) Training vocational skills to provide assistance to create sustainability. Therefore, drug addiction treatment and rehabilitation with community participation has a positive effect on promoting physical and mental rehabilitation of patients, as well as helping to reduce the problem of relapse. The community plays an important role in providing support and creating strong networks to enable patients to effectively adjust and reintegrate into society. In addition, the involvement of community members and families in helping patients helps strengthen society and reduce the problem of drug abuse in the long run.
